The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua at the La Zona Factory, which is owned and operated by Erik Espinosa.

The cigars name along with the boxs artwork alludes to the decade-long war Cuba fought to win its independence from Spain. According to General Cigars and Espinosa, the name also refers to all thats been hard fought and won.
