Abdel Fernndez, better known as AJ Fernandez, has become a prominent figure in the cigar world since leaving Cuba in 2003. His journey began modestly, with his first factory set up in a garage. Now, two decades later, he’s a driving force in the industry, producing cigars for renowned brands like Rocky Patel, Cigars International, Altadis U.S.A., Espinosa Premium Cigars, and Illusione.

To commemorate his 20th anniversary in the business, AJ Fernandez is releasing two limited edition cigars:

• AJF 20th Anniversary Toro (6 x 56): This cigar will be presented in numbered boxes of 20 and Production is limited to 7,500 boxes. (5000 in U.S.)
• AJF 20th Anniversary Humidor Belicoso (6 3/4 x 54): This cigar will come in a numbered humidor containing 50 cigars. Pricing is yet to be announced. Only 250 humidors will be produced.

Both cigars were showcased at the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show. Details about the blend and release dates will be revealed later. These celebratory cigars are rolled at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estel, a far cry from the garage where AJ Fernandez first began his journey.

This AJ Fernandez 20th Anniversary Humidor Belicoso cigar is made in the Dominican Republic. Outside, you’ll find a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. The AJ Fernandez 20th Anniversary Belicoso Maduro shaped cigar with a length of 6.75 and a ring gauge of 54.
